Florida State Road 707
State Road 707 is the Florida Department of Transportation designation of a 2.2-mile (3.5 km) stretch of the former Dixie Highway (US 1) between the roundabout with Joan Jefferson Way in Stuart and Martin County Road 707 and Martin County Road 723 in Jensen Beach in Martin County, Florida. The road continues in both directions as Martin County Road 707.
Although sometimes called Old Dixie Highway, this is a misnomer because the present US 1 has always been called Federal Highway, not Dixie Highway, in Martin County. Its correct local street name is Dixie Highway.

—Janice A. Radway (b. 1949)

And about half a mile from my long liquid breakfast I turned carefully down a side street and parked, and sat beaming happily through the tannic fog for about an hour, remembering how witty we all had been, how handsome and talented ...
