The Fifth Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies was undertaken between 2000 and 2007 by the Boundary Commissions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland for the Parliament of the United Kingdom to review constituency boundaries. The changes to constituencies from those reviews were approved and took effect at the 2010 United Kingdom general election, except for Scotland where they took effect at the 2005 election.

Famous quotes containing the words periodic and/or review:
“But parents can be understanding and accept the more difficult stages as necessary times of growth for the child. Parents can appreciate the fact that these phases are not easy for the child to live through either; rapid growth times are hard on a child. Perhaps its a small comfort to know that the harder-to-live-with stages do alternate with the calmer times,so parents can count on getting periodic breaks.”
—Saf Lerman (20th century)
“The thanksgiving of the old Jew, Lord, I thank Thee that Thou didst not make me a woman, doubtless came from a careful review of the situation. Like all of us, he had fortitude enough to bear his neighbors afflictions.”
—Frances A. Griffin, U.S. suffragist. As quoted in History of Woman Suffrage, vol. 4, ch. 19, by Susan B. Anthony and Ida Husted Harper (1902)
