Broad Street Line
Fern Rock Transportation Center became the northern terminus of the Broad Street Line in 1956, when the Broad Street Line was extended north from the original northern terminus at Olney Transportation Center by the Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC) and the City of Philadelphia. Fern Rock Transportation Center also hosts the yard and maintenance facilities for the Broad Street Line.
All local and express trains on the Broad Street Line terminate at Fern Rock Transportation Center. All the Special Sport Express trains that run to the Sports Complex at AT&T Station also originate at Fern Rock. Broad-Ridge Spur trains usually serve Fern Rock only during non-peak hours and on Saturdays.

Famous quotes containing the words broad, street and/or line:
“Savages cling to a local god of one tribe or town. The broad ethics of Jesus were quickly narrowed to village theologies, which preach an election or favoritism.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“What a squalid and irresponsible little profession it is.... Nothing prepares you for how bad Fleet Street really is until it craps on you from a great height.”
—Ken Livingstone (b. 1945)
“The real dividing line between early childhood and middle childhood is not between the fifth year and the sixth yearit is more nearly when children are about seven or eight, moving on toward nine. Building the barrier at six has no psychological basis. It has come about only from the historic-economic-political fact that the age of six is when we provide schools for all.”
—James L. Hymes, Jr. (20th century)
