Political Career
Towards the end of his mixed martial arts career, Fedor Emelianenko began his involvement in politics. He was elected to a five-year term as a deputy of the Belgorod Regional Duma on October 10, 2010 under the United Russia political party.
On August 02, 2012, Emelianenko became a staff member of Russia's Council of Physical Fitness & Sports. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
