  • Researchers at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases have cultured the hepatitis C virus for the first time. The ability to replicate the virus in culture will allow for a more complete study of the virus life cycle, testing of Antiviral drug compounds and may led to new treatment for liver disease caused by the virus.
