Club Song
Lyrics by: K.Arsenev; Music: I.Krutoiy
- Glory to you, Shakhtar!
- Heavens of football stars
- Will always be on your side,
- And the light of your best dreams
- Is shining from above.
Refrain:
- Beauty of green fields, that's for you, Shakhtar.
- My fate is in your hands, you are the best, Shakhtar.
- And for you, Shakhtar, the medal of my love
- Will always shine on pitch where you are,
- And forever will protect you from defeat
- The brightest football star!

Famous quotes containing the words club and/or song:
“He loved to sit silent in a corner of his club and listen to the loud chattering of politicians, and to think how they all were in his power—how he could smite the loudest of them, were it worth his while to raise his pen for such a purpose.”
—Anthony Trollope (1815–1882)
“There is the falsely mystical view of art that assumes a kind of supernatural inspiration, a possession by universal forces unrelated to questions of power and privilege or the artist’s relation to bread and blood. In this view, the channel of art can only become clogged and misdirected by the artist’s concern with merely temporary and local disturbances. The song is higher than the struggle.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
