Farmers' cheese in USA is not really same as Paneer, Paneer is firm, cook-able (won't melt when heated/cooked). Farmers' cheese is more like a cross between of fresh white butter (Hindi मक्खन) and cream cheese. Can be used as a spread on परांठा/Paratha or bread.
