Route Description
FM 685 begins in Pflugerville along Dessau Road, at the eastern terminus of FM 1825. The route runs to the northeast through Pflugerville to an interchange with the SH 45 / SH 130 toll road. From here, FM 685 runs north along the frontage road of the toll road, before separating from SH 130 in southern Hutto. The route continues to the northeast before ending at a junction with US 79 in central Hutto.
