"Falsas Esperanzas" (English: "False Hopes") is the second single from Christina Aguilera's debut Spanish album, Mi reflejo. Released in 2001, the single did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Of much debate is whether the song is truly the second single of the album, as "Genio Atrapado", "Por Siempre Tú", and "Ven Conmigo (Solamente tú)" which are found on the album had been released prior. Nevertheless, those singles are Spanish versions of previous hit singes that were released before Mi reflejo had been created. The single is Aguilera's second original (not a Spanish version of an English hit) Latin music uptempo with tropical/salsa flavors. The song was also the theme song for TV Azteca's telenovela Como En El Cine.
