Famous quotes containing the words cell and/or bodies:

Why inspire in us a horror of our being?... To look upon the universe as a prison cell and all men as criminals about to be executed is the idea of a fanatic.
    Voltaire [François Marie Arouet] (1694–1778)

In bombers named for girls, we burned
The cities we had learned about in school—
Till our lives wore out; our bodies lay among
The people we had killed and never seen.
    Randall Jarrell (1914–1965)
