Esther Valentine (formerly Peterson and Wilkes) is a fictional character from the American CBS Daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. The role has been portrayed by Kate Linder since April 8, 1982. For years, Esther has been known for working as a maid for her longtime friend, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).
