She has competed in all ten series and six Christmas Specials of the BBC's television series Strictly Come Dancing with the following results:
- Fourth in Series 1 in 2004 with rugby league player Martin Offiah. They were eliminated in week 6
- Third in Series 2 with comedian Julian Clary.
- In the 2004 Christmas Special, she was joined again by Martin Offiah.
- Runner-up in 2005 with hurdling champion and record holder Colin Jackson.
- Joined Colin Jackson again in the 2005 Christmas Special.
- Eliminated in week 7 of the 2006 competition, dancing with football player Peter Schmeichel.
- For the Christmas Special 2006, she was joined again by Colin Jackson. After the combined scores of the judges' marks and the votes of the studio audience, Colin and Erin won the competition, after getting the full 40 marks from the judges.
- Knocked out of the 2007 competition in week 3 with her partner, snooker player Willie Thorne.
- Eliminated in Week 12 of the 2008 competition, with Austin Healey. They were placed 4th in the competition.
- Eliminated in Week 10 of the 2009 competition with actor Ricky Groves.
- In the 2009 Christmas Special, she was joined again by Austin Healey.
- For the 2010 competition she was paired with England Football legend Peter Shilton: they were eliminated in week 4.
- For the Christmas Special 2010, she partnered Liberal Democrats politician and Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, himself a keen amateur ballroom dancer
- For the 2011 series, she was partnered with impressionist Rory Bremner. They were eliminated in week 4.
- For the 2011 Christmas Special, she partnered Barry McGuigan.
- For the 2012 series, she partnered Daybreak presenter Richard Arnold.
