History
ESD was founded in 1974 by Dallas-area leaders and Reverend Stephen B. Swann. In 1995, ESD merged with St. Michael's, which allowed the school to offer education beginning at age 3 through 12th Grade. The school is actively recruiting for a new Headmaster. Kim Magee succeeded the position as the interim Head of School after Swann's resignation in 2012.
