Enrico Caruso Compact Disc Discography - Caruso/ Complete/ Compact

The collection Caruso/ Complete/ Compact (Germany 1990, Bayer/ Da Capo BR 200 010/23; 14 CDs plus a bonus disk) is the most complete Caruso edition ever published to date (2007), albeit obscured through computer processing that tends to darken Caruso's voice. The pitch of some recordings is also controversial. However, it includes most early Pathé Records, Gramophone, Zonophone and Victor (the predecessor of RCA Victor) recordings, probably unavailable otherwise, as well and the famous "Vecchia Zimarra" private recording, with comment from Frances Alda, and other surprises. This edition is only for enthusiast Caruso aficionados that do not mind poor sound in exchange for an almost complete collection.

Famous quotes containing the words complete and/or compact:

Much that is urged on us new parents is useless, because we didn’t really choose it. It was pushed on us. It—whether it be Raffi videos, French lessons, or the complete works of Brazelton—might be just right for you and your particular child. But it is only right when you feel that it is. You know your family best; you decide.
    Sonia Taitz (20th century)

The Puritans, to keep the remembrance of their unity one with another, and of their peaceful compact with the Indians, named their forest settlement CONCORD.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
