These locomotives were the original power for the Denver Zephyr. Named Silver King (9906a),Silver Queen (9906b),Silver Knight (9907a), and Silver Princess (9907b), they were arranged in 2 sets consisting of an 1800 hp cab (a) unit and a 1200 hp booster (b) unit. Their shovel nosed, stainless steel carbodies were built by Budd.
