Technology Centers

In addition to its main campuses, EICCD delivers classes through five technology centers:

The Graphic Arts Technology Center in Clinton offers programs in graphic arts, web design, computer aided design/drafting and mechatronics.

The Blong Technology Center (BTC) and the Midwest Center for Safety and Rescue Training (MCSRT), both located near Interstate 80 in Davenport. The BTC offers specialized manufacturing technology programs and the MCSRT provides training for rescue and fire training, specializing in water rescue.

The Advanced Technology Environmental Education Center (ATEEC) located on the Scott Community College campus, a national center that promotes and supports environmental technology education to address the needs of the national and global workforce

The Muscatine Industrial Technology Center on the Muscatine Community College campus also provides specialized manufacturing-related training.

Famous quotes containing the words technology and/or centers:

The real accomplishment of modern science and technology consists in taking ordinary men, informing them narrowly and deeply and then, through appropriate organization, arranging to have their knowledge combined with that of other specialized but equally ordinary men. This dispenses with the need for genius. The resulting performance, though less inspiring, is far more predictable.
    John Kenneth Galbraith (b. 1908)

But look what we have built ... low-income projects that become worse centers of delinquency, vandalism and general social hopelessness than the slums they were supposed to replace.... Cultural centers that are unable to support a good bookstore. Civic centers that are avoided by everyone but bums.... Promenades that go from no place to nowhere and have no promenaders. Expressways that eviscerate great cities. This is not the rebuilding of cities. This is the sacking of cities.
    Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)
