Marriage
Duncan married Ethelreda of Northumbria, daughter of Gospatric, Earl of Northumbria. The marriage is recorded in the Cronicon CumbriƦ. They had a single known son, William fitz Duncan. A survivng charter of Duncan II mentions him as "infans mei" (Latin: my child), indicating that William was an only child.
