Dore Programme

The Dore programme or Dore program offers a drug-free course of treatment for dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia, Asperger's, and other learning difficulties which has been developed with researchers in Britain and elsewhere. It consists of a series of exercises which are designed to improve the functioning of the cerebellum, based on Dore's belief that the cerebellum facilitates skill development and therefore plays an essential role in the learning process.

Currently, the Dore programme is available through offices in 6 countries: UK, USA, South Africa, Taiwan, China, and New Zealand.

Famous quotes containing the words dore and/or programme:

Boold was hir face, and fair, and reed of hewe.
She was a worthy womman al hir lyve.
Housbondes at chirche dore she hadde fyve,
    Withouten oother compaignye in youthe—
But therof nedeth nat to speke as nowthe.
    Geoffrey Chaucer (1340?–1400)

In the case of all other sciences, arts, skills, and crafts, everyone is convinced that a complex and laborious programme of learning and practice is necessary for competence. Yet when it comes to philosophy, there seems to be a currently prevailing prejudice to the effect that, although not everyone who has eyes and fingers, and is given leather and last, is at once in a position to make shoes, everyone nevertheless immediately understands how to philosophize.
    Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831)
