Doosra

A doosra is a particular type of delivery by an off-spin bowler in the sport of cricket, invented by Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq. Doosra is a word which means "(the) second (one)", or "(the) other (one)" in Urdu. Saqlain Mushtaq has also claimed to have invented a variant of the doosra, which he calls the "teesra", meaning "(the) third (one)".

A variety of bowlers have made considerable use of the doosra in international cricket. Other Pakistanis who use the doosra include Shoaib Malik and Saeed Ajmal. Users from other nations include Sri Lankans Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis, South African Johan Botha and Indian Harbhajan Singh.
