Donna D'Errico - Personal Life

Personal Life

D'Errico divorced rock musician Nikki Sixx in 2007, after nine years of marriage. They had separated shortly after their daughter Frankie-Jean's birth, and reconciled months later when Sixx completed rehab. They separated again on April 27, 2006, and divorced June 2007, with D'Errico claiming irreconcilable differences.

She is now a devout Roman Catholic and attends mass weekly and prays the Rosary every night with her children. When asked about how her newfound faith compares to her past career, she said, "I’ve made mistakes and choices in my past that I wouldn’t make today. That's a chapter in my life that I’ve closed the door on. It seems to me like another person. It's not who I am today."

In 2011, Donna D'Errico stated that she was in training to fulfill a long-held dream of climbing Mount Ararat in Turkey in search of the frozen remains of Noah's ark. In the same interview she had also said that she is preparing to start a cooking show, also a lifelong dream. D'Errico climbed Mount Ararat in the summer of 2012, returning home to the U.S. in August. Although she completed what she had set out to do, she was injured and bruised after suffering from a "major fall" that occurred towards the end of her hike.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

No Vice or Wickedness, which People fall into from Indulgence to Desires which are natural to all, ought to place them below the Compassion of the virtuous Part of the World; which indeed often makes me a little apt to suspect the Sincerity of their Virtue, who are too warmly provoked at other Peoples personal Sins.
    Richard Steele (1672–1729)

“Were not all her life but storm,
Would not painters paint a form
    Of such noble times ...”
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
