Domino Harvey - Early Life

Early Life

Domino Harvey was born in 1969 to Laurence Harvey, an actor, and Paulene Stone, a fashion model. Laurence Harvey was married to Joan Cohn until 1972; he married Stone shortly after divorcing Cohn. After Laurence Harvey died of cancer in 1973, Stone raised her daughter in Belgravia, an up-market area of London. As a girl, Harvey was a tomboy and enjoyed playing with action figures. She later recalled that she frequently fought other children and studied martial arts. She attended four boarding schools, including Dartington Hall, later reporting that she was expelled from some of them.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

Early education can only promise to help make the third and fourth and fifth years of life good ones. It cannot insure without fail that any tomorrow will be successful. Nothing “fixes” a child for life, no matter what happens next. But exciting, pleasing early experiences are seldom sloughed off. They go with the child, on into first grade, on into the child’s long life ahead.
James L. Hymes, Jr. (20th century)

I have not read of any Arcadian life which surpasses the actual luxury and serenity of these New England dwellings. For the outward gilding, at least, the age is golden enough.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
