Famous quotes containing the word boston:

In Boston serpents whistle at the cold.
    Robert Lowell (1917–1977)

Now, alas! only Queen Victoria dares to go shabby.
    M. E. W. Sherwood (1826–1903)

The right of the police of Boston to affiliate has always been questioned, never granted, is now prohibited.... There is no right to strike against the public safety by anybody, anywhere, any time.
    Calvin Coolidge (1872–1933)
