Dilip Vengsarkar
Dilip Balwant Vengsarkar pronunciation (born 6 April 1956) is an Indian cricketer and cricket administrator. Born in a Dalit family, he was known as one of the foremost exponents of the drive. He was also known by the nickname 'Coolie'. A short batsman, he had a good range of shots on onse side of the the wicket. Along with Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Viswanath, he was a key player in the Indian batting line up in the late 70s and early 80s. He went on to play till 1989. He represented Bombay in the Ranji Trophy, now Mumbai. For Test matches played in India, he has one of the highest batting averages.
