Derby Arboretum

Derby Arboretum is a public arboretum and park in the city of Derby. Located in the Rose Hill area, about a mile south of Derby city centre, it was the first publicly owned, landscaped, urban, recreational park in England. After many years of neglect, the Arboretum has recently been extensively refurbished with the aid of a National Lottery grant of almost £5 million. It is listed on the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.
