Delicate Arch is a 65-foot (20 m) tall freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.
It is the most widely-recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates and on a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of statehood in 1996. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch.

Famous quotes containing the words delicate and/or arch:
“I wish I had feathers, a fine sweeping gown,
And a delicate face, and could strut about Town!
My deara raw country girl, such as you be,
Cannot quite expect that. You aint ruined, said she.”
—Thomas Hardy (18401928)
“Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they cant touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still cant see.
I say,
Its in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
Im a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
Thats me.”
—Maya Angelou (b. 1928)
