Conclusion
Despite their relative success Déjà Voodoo never managed to break into the mainstream markets and by 1990 both Gerard and Tony decided to split up Déjà Voodoo. Both men had reached their thirties and were interested in pursuing other careers. As well both members decided to sell Og records that same year. Since then Gerard has gone to become a university linguistics professor, and for the last 20 years Tony has worked as a brewer on the West Coast and currently is employed by Lotusland Vineyards. Despite their brief existence, Déjà Voodoo vastly contributed to Canadian music by increasing the Canadian public’s exposure to alternative styles of music.

Famous quotes containing the word conclusion:
“We must not leap to the fatalistic conclusion that we are stuck with the conceptual scheme that we grew up in. We can change it, bit by bit, plank by plank, though meanwhile there is nothing to carry us along but the evolving conceptual scheme itself. The philosophers task was well compared by Neurath to that of a mariner who must rebuild his ship on the open sea.”
—Willard Van Orman Quine (b. 1908)
“I have come to the conclusion that the closer people are to what may be called the front lines of government ... the easier it is to see the immediate underbrush, the individual tree trunks of the moment, and to forget the nobility the usefulness and the wide extent of the forest itself.... They forget that politics after all is only an instrument through which to achieve Government.”
—Franklin D. Roosevelt (18821945)
“A certain kind of rich man afflicted with the symptoms of moral dandyism sooner or later comes to the conclusion that it isnt enough merely to make money. He feels obliged to hold views, to espouse causes and elect Presidents, to explain to a trembling world how and why the world went wrong. The spectacle is nearly always comic.”
—Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)
