Early Life and Career
Del Mastro was born to an Italian Canadian family in Peterborough, began high school in Lakefield, and graduated from the Adam Scott Collegiate and Vocational Institute. He attended the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor, and he later worked in a Suzuki car dealership owned by his family.
Del Mastro was originally a supporter of the Liberal Party of Canada, though he has said he became disillusioned with the party after the 1993 federal election.
