Facilities
The centre is a multi-classification prison with a capacity of 450 prisoners including 130 low security prisoners. The centre was completed in 1979 with an opening capacity of 110 beds and is the main reception prison in the Northern Territory, servicing most of the northern and metropolitan regions.
