Darcy Tyler - Casting

Casting

Raffety admitted to Inside Soap that he did not find Darcy "interesting at first", but he came up with a plan to change him and the writers helped transform the character. He added "Darcy has a childlike wish to be loved and nurtured, but at the same time he has a scheming side. At the end of the day he's both an angel and a devil, I suppose!"

Raffety left Neighbours in 2003. He said that he was sad to be going as he believed that "more could be milked out of Darcy" and that he would like to see him return in the future.

Famous quotes containing the word casting:

For the gods, though slow to see, see well, whenever a man casting aside worship turns folly.
    Sophocles (497–406/5 B.C.)

This I do know and can say to you: Our country is in more danger now than at any time since the Declaration of Independence. We don’t dare follow the Lindberghs, Wheelers and Nyes, casting suspicion, sowing discord around the leadership of Franklin D. Roosevelt. We don’t want revolution among ourselves.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

    All we know
Is that we are a little early, that
    Today has that special, lapidary
    Todayness that the sunlight reproduces
Faithfully in casting twig-shadows on blithe
Sidewalks. No previous day would have been like this.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
