Writing
On 7 November 2007 at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, Stereophonics lead singer Kelly Jones announced that some of the lyrics to this song were written whilst staying in "a crap hotel in Paris". Famous quotes containing the word writing:
“If you want your writing to be taken seriously, dont marry and have kids, and above all, dont die. But if you have to die, commit suicide. They approve of that.”
—Ursula K. Le Guin (b. 1929)
“Writing is not like painting where you add. It is not what you put on the canvas that the reader sees. Writing is more like a sculpture where you remove, you eliminate in order to make the work visible. Even those pages you remove somehow remain.”
—Elie Wiesel (b. 1928)
“... writing is not a performance but a generosity.”
—Brenda Ueland (18911985)
