Crown Glass

Crown glass is either of two kinds of glass:

  • Crown glass (window) was a type of hand-blown window glass.
  • Crown glass (optics) is a type of optical glass used in lenses.

Famous quotes containing the words crown and/or glass:

““Mother of heaven, regina of the clouds,
O sceptre of the sun, crown of the moon,
There is not nothing, no, no, never nothing,
Like the clashed edges of two words that kill.””
    —Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

“We are deranged, walking among the cops
Who sweep glass and are large and composed.”
    —Karl Shapiro (b. 1913)
