Building

Since its inception, the court has been located in the Former French Mission Building, in Central. The Hong Kong Government is planning to relocate it to the present Legislative Council Building, which was originally designed to be a law court and was once the location of the colonial Supreme Court (1912-1985), in 2011.

Famous quotes containing the word building:

A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.
    Robertson Davies (b. 1913)

History is a child building a sand-castle by the sea, and that child is the whole majesty of man’s power in the world.
    Heraclitus (c. 535–475 B.C.)

Our civilization is characterized by the word “progress.” Progress is its form rather than making progress being one of its features. Typically it constructs. It is occupied with building an ever more complicated structure. And even clarity is sought only as a means to this end, not as an end in itself. For me on the contrary clarity, perspicuity are valuable in themselves.
    Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889–1951)
