Clip Show

A clip show is an episode of a television series that consists primarily of excerpts from previous episodes. Most clip shows feature the format of a frame story in which cast members recall past events from past installments of the show, depicted with a clip of the event presented as a flashback. Especially in the animation field, clip shows are also known as cheaters. Clip shows are often used in a show's series finale or milestone episode.

Famous quotes containing the words clip and/or show:

    She shall be buried by her Antony;
    No grave upon the earth shall clip in it
    A pair so famous.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    All goes to show that the soul in man is not an organ, but animates and exercises all the organs; is not a function, like the power of memory, of calculation, of comparison, but uses these as hands and feet; is not a faculty, but a light, is not the intellect or the will, but the master of the intellect and the will; is the background of our being, in which they lie,—an immensity not possessed and that cannot be possessed.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
