Famous quotes containing the words heraldic, coat and/or arms:
“His ugliness was the stuff of legend. In an age of affordable beauty, there was something heraldic about his lack of it. The antique arm whined as he reached for another mug. It was a Russian military prosthesis, a seven-function force-feedback manipulator, cased in grubby pink plastic.”
—William Gibson (b. 1948)
“Your coat in my closet,
your bright stones on my hand,
the gaudy fur animals
I do not know how to use,
settle on me like a debt.”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
“Women have simple tastes. They can get pleasure out of the conversation of children in arms and men in love.”
—H.L. (Henry Lewis)
