Chapman Strut - Successor Designs

Successor Designs

The successful mid-engined Lotus 18 of 1960 no longer had the high bodywork behind the driver's seat on which to mount the tops of the struts. The upper wishbones though were, once again in the style of the Chapman strut, using the driveshafts themselves and a front radius rod.

Famous quotes containing the words successor and/or designs:

The name of a successor is like the tolling of my own death-bell!
    Elizabeth I (1533–1603)

I have no scheme about it,—no designs on men at all; and, if I had, my mode would be to tempt them with the fruit, and not with the manure. To what end do I lead a simple life at all, pray? That I may teach others to simplify their lives?—and so all our lives be simplified merely, like an algebraic formula? Or not, rather, that I may make use of the ground I have cleared, to live more worthily and profitably?
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
