Open Source Implementations
There exist several open source implementations of certificate authority software. Common to all is that they provide the necessary services to issue, revoke and manage digital certificates.
Some open source implementations are:
- EJBCA
- OpenCA
- OpenSSL, which is really an SSL/TLS library, but comes with tools allowing its use as a simple certificate authority.
- gnoMint
- DogTag
- XCA
- r509

Famous quotes containing the words open and/or source:
“[Panurge] spent everything in a thousand little banquets and joyous feasts open to all comers, particularly jolly companions, young lasses, and delightful wenches, and in clearing his lands, burning the big logs to sell the ashes, taking money in advance, buying dear, selling cheap, and eating his wheat in the blade.”
—François Rabelais (14941553)
“If I have been the source of pain, O God;
If to the weak I have refused my strength;
If, in rebellion, I have strayed away;
Forgive me, God.”
—Janet W. May (20th century)
