2003 Muthanga Incident Kerala

On 19th Feb 2003, the Adivasis/Tribals gathered under Adivasi Gothra Mahasbha (ADMS), at Muthanga faced 18 rounds of police firing in which 2 fatal casualties were confirmed officially. The Tribals gathered in protest to the Governments delay in allotting them land, which was signed on October 2001. Later, the casualty toll had reached 5 deaths among the Tribals. Vinod, a Police Constable died was also a Dalit.
