Cape Collinson (Chinese: 歌連臣角), also Hak Kok Tau (黑角頭), is a cape located near Ngan Wan between Siu Sai Wan and Big Wave Bay in the east most point of the Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It faces Tathong Channel.
The cape is named for Colonel Thomas Bernard Collinson, a Royal Engineers surveyor in Hong Kong (1821-1902) and later in New Zealand. He help survey Hong Kong Island in the 1840s.
A road, Cape Collinson Road, routes from Chai Wan up to the slope of Pottinger Peak to the east coast and splits. The road reaches south the Cape Collinson Correctional Institution in Tso Tui Wan and an unnamed road runs north near the cape. A lighthouse is erected on the cape.
There are many cemeteries and columbarium named after Cape Collinson near Chai Wan under the west slope Pottinger Peak, but they are indeed far from the Cape Collinson. Only association with the cape is that they are in adjacent to Cape Collinson Road.
