Famous quotes containing the words campaign, real and/or ale:
“The fact that a man is to vote forces him to think. You may preach to a congregation by the year and not affect its thought because it is not called upon for definite action. But throw your subject into a campaign and it becomes a challenge.”
—John Jay Chapman (18621933)
“A hard-working man and a thrifty woman are the real treasures of any family.”
—Chinese proverb.
“Bring us in no browne bred, for that is made of brane,
Nor bring us in no white bred, for therein is no gane,
But bring us in good ale!
Bring us in no befe, for there is many bones,
But bring us in good ale, for that goth downe at ones,
And bring us in good ale!”
—Unknown. Bring Us In Good Ale (l. 38)
