History
The system of cadet college was first introduced in Germany in the era of Bismarck. Napoleon Bonaparte introduced this in France. Military and Royal aristocrats would send their children or wards to those cadet colleges for education and a carrier in the Royal Army. In Pakistan the system was introduced by the then president of Pakistan Field Marshal Ayub Khan. The first cadet college was built in Punjab in the year 1954. The initial four cadet colleges were Hasanabdal, Kohat, Faujdarhat (then East Pakistan, now in Bangladesh) and Petaro.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“We know only a single science, the science of history. One can look at history from two sides and divide it into the history of nature and the history of men. However, the two sides are not to be divided off; as long as men exist the history of nature and the history of men are mutually conditioned.”
—Karl Marx (18181883)
“History takes time.... History makes memory.”
—Gertrude Stein (18741946)
“Dont give your opinions about Art and the Purpose of Life. They are of little interest and, anyway, you cant express them. Dont analyse yourself. Give the relevant facts and let your readers make their own judgments. Stick to your story. It is not the most important subject in history but it is one about which you are uniquely qualified to speak.”
—Evelyn Waugh (19031966)
