Dress Code
The school goes by a dress code and expects students to follow it. Males can wear a light blue or white polo that says BLHS (the school's initials) with black slacks. Sneakers can be worn but must be black-on-black, and the same is true for boots and shoes. Females must also wear polos in the same colors (light blue and white) and also must wear black slacks or long skirts. No flipflops are allowed.

Famous quotes containing the words dress and/or code:
“The swimming hole is still in use. It has the same mudbank. It is still impossible to dress without carrying mud home in ones inner garments. As an engineer I could devise improvements for that swimming hole. But I doubt if the decrease in mothers grief at the homecoming of muddy boys would compensate the inherent joys of getting muddy.”
—Herbert Hoover (18741964)
“Many people will say to working mothers, in effect, I dont think you can have it all. The phrase for have it all is code for have your cake and eat it too. What these people really mean is that achievement in the workplace has always come at a priceusually a significant personal price; conversely, women who stayed home with their children were seen as having sacrificed a great deal of their own ambition for their families.”
—Anne C. Weisberg (20th century)
