Car of Tomorrow
NASCAR's newly redesigned car (dubbed the Car of Tomorrow) is expected to hinder the effect of bump and run. The rear bumpers on the cars have been lowered, while the front bumper has been raised. In this configuration, when a trailing car hits a car in the back, the contact is square, and the leading cars rear wheels are not lifted off the track.

Famous quotes containing the words car and/or tomorrow:
“Raising children is a spur-of-the-moment, seat-of-the-pants sort of deal, as any parent knows, particularly after an adult child says that his most searing memory consists of an offhand comment in the car on the way to second grade that the parent cannot even dimly recall.”
—Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)
“Brittle beauty that nature made so frail,
Whereof the gift is small, and short the season,
Flowring today, tomorrow apt to fail,
Tickle treasure, abhorred of reason,
Dangerous to deal with, vain, of none avail,
Costly in keeping, passed not worth two peason,”
—Henry Howard, Earl Of Surrey (1517?1547)
