In the 2011 federal election the most popular party was the SP which received 32.8% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SVP (18.6%), the CVP (16.9%) and the FDP (16.2%).
The SPS gained an additional 5.1% of the vote from the 2007 Federal election (27.6% in 2007 vs 32.8% in 2011). The SVP moved from third in 2007 (with 21.6%) to second in 2011, the CVP moved from second in 2007 (with 22.0%) to third and the FDP retained about the same popularity (18.2% in 2007). A total of 4,617 votes were cast in this election, of which 128 or 2.8% were invalid.
