Surprise Move To Jeju Island
In 2006, the owners of SK made the surprise decision to relocate to Jeju, renaming the club Jeju United FC.
Following the move, former fans of Bucheon FC began a movement to establish a brand new Bucheon side. The initial goal was to create a team for participation in the 2007 Korea National League season, however they joined the K3 League for the 2008 season.

Famous quotes containing the words surprise, move and/or island:
“Your discovery of the contradiction caused me the greatest surprise and, I would almost say, consternation, since it has shaken the basis on which I intended to build my arithmetic.... It is all the more serious since, with the loss of my rule V, not only the foundations of my arithmetic, but also the sole possible foundations of arithmetic seem to vanish.”
—Gottlob Frege (1848–1925)
“I was only one woman alone, and had no power to move to action full-fed, sleek- coated, ease-loving, pleasure-seeking, well-paid, and well-placed countrymen in this war- trampled, dead, old land, each one afraid that he should be called upon to do something.”
—Clara Barton (1821–1912)
““Our island home
Is far beyond the wave;we will no longer roam.””
—Alfred Tennyson (1809–1892)
