Future
The future of the stadium is unclear. Clyde have announced their intention to leave Broadwood for a site elsewhere. On October 2011, they revealed that East Kilbride was one of the possible locations that they were exploring. East Kilbride is currently the largest town in Scotland without a senior football team. In addition, on September 2012, they were hinting at the possibility of a move back to Rutherglen for the first time in nearly 30 years to develop the Clyde Gateway Stadium in a ground-sharing agreement with current tenants Rutherglen Glencairn, who approved the proposal.
It was announced that along with the introduction of a 3G surface, the club would also be sharing the ground with local team Cumbernauld Colts FC.

Famous quotes containing the word future:
“I will be steel!
I will build a steel bridge over my need!
I will build a bomb shelter over my heart!
But my future is a secret.
It is as shy as a mole.”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
“Much that is natural, to the will must yield.
Men manufacture both machine and soul,
And use what they imperfectly control
To dare a future from the taken routes.”
—Thom Gunn (b. 1929)
“I want the necessity of supplying my own wants. All this costly culture of yours is not necessary. Greatness does not need it. Yonder peasant, who sits neglected, carries a whole revolution of man and nature in his head, which shall be a sacred history to some future ages.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
