Brahmavidya

Brahmavidya is that branch of metaphysical knowledge which is considered to be the core of Hinduism. It is considered to be the ultimate teaching revealed to the true student of the Upanishads. In ancient Sanskrit philosophical literature the term Brahman is used to denote the Supreme Being, also called Atma. Hence Brahmavidya is a teaching, which leads to knowledge of Brahman.
