Private Life
Pahor and his partner, Tanja Pečar, have a son, Luka. Apart from his native Slovene, he speaks fluent English, French, Italian, and Croatian.
On 12 December 2011, Pahor was hospitalised due to a very severe suppurative otitis media after a cold. Health problems continued for almost one month, coinciding with the coalition talks with Positive Slovenia. Following an operation, Pahor was discharged from the University Medical Center Ljubljana on 9 January, as his hearing and general health had improved. During the hospitalisation, Mitja Gaspari filled in for him regarding his duties as the acting Prime Minister.
