Industry and Economics
A major Oil Refinery set up by BORL(Bharat Oman Refineries limited) with capacity of 6 MMTPA is an important industry for country. Also a 1250MW capacity Thermal Plant being developed by the JayPee Group is also an important part for the state's power generation. Power Grid corporation also constructed a power transmission station near the city. POWERGRID is also setting up 1200kV National Test Station at BINA.
Geographically, being located nearly in the centre of country and on the Delhi Mumbai Train Route, it is important transport hub. Also the agricultural products of this area are of great quality and plays an important role in the City's and nearby villages' economy. The Agricultural Market is a major Economic Zone for the City's Economy and have its own position in the state.
