Big Brother 2002 (UK)

Big Brother 2002, also known as Big Brother 3, was the third series of the British reality television series Big Brother, in which a number of contestants live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. The series launched on Channel 4 on 24 May 2002 and ended on 26 July 2002. The series was won by Kate Lawler. The live final drew 10 million viewers and votes in the final week totalled 8.6 million.

Big Brother 3 is often credited with the demise of Channel 4 soap Brookside, which had been moved around the schedules even prior to Big Brother 3, was shunted about a lot more than it had ever been before in order to accommodate Channel 4's new ratings winner, which averaged 5.8 million viewers in this series.

Alex and Adele entered the Big Brother 8 House in 2007 to participate in a task. No housemates from this series entered the 2010 Ultimate Big Brother, the final Big Brother series to be aired on Channel 4. However, a tribute was shown on the finale to honour Jade Goody.
