Beaumont School (St Albans)
Beaumont School is a state maintained mixed secondary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. It was founded in 1938 and has become a school of over 1200 students, including 300 in the sixth form. It is situated to the east of St Albans in Hertfordshire and is within access of the city centre. In 2003 it achieved a Language College status and in 2007, having been identified as a High Performing Specialist School, Beaumont was then able to obtain a second specialism as a Maths and Computing College. In 2007 Beaumont achieved the International Award from the British Council and offers the International Baccalaureate as an alternative to A-levels. A December 2008 Ofsted inspection accorded the school a Grade 2 (good), whilst the sixth form achieved an outstanding rating.
